For the Love of Dogs Vermont Dog Rescue helps place many of our rescues into loving homes. Syren ... (Read More)found himself homeless after an adult left him with a two yr old baby. The baby didn't know better and kept poking him in the face causing this sweet lap dog to retaliate and bite. It was his first and only time his in 5 yrs of life that he ever shown any kind of aggression! I strongly believe that if there was proper supervisiion the incident would have never happen, so please don't let that deter you from adopting this loving cuddle bug. All he wants to do is sit quietly next to you in the chair and sleep. Sadly when Syren was just a pup he was hit by a car and lost his hind leg. But that has not slowed him down a bit. He is as active and able to get around as good as a dog with all 4 legs. Syren is house broke and has very good house manners. I have not even seem him attempt to mark as most male chihuahuas will do. Please consider adopting this three yr old prince. Homes with older considerate children will be consider. Buddy was left abandoned for 5 long months when his owners moved away. For 5 long months Buddy waited and waited for his owners to return. Never once leaving the property except for a few times to find refuge under the neighbors porch to get out of the rain. No one knows where he slept at night but he would be there in his spot every morning. Day after day waiting for his owners to return. Never giving up hope. Buddy is such a sweet guy. He is very loving and he seems so happy to have a warm bed at night and someone there to love him He does have arthritis of the spine and hip which will require management. He is currently taking Dasuquin daily and doing so well with it. He gets around better and has become playful with the other dogs. He has a favorite spot he likes to lay and either chew on his favorite toy or will lay quietly the whole day except for an occasional random bark. We like to think he is telling us what a great life he has now and thanking us. Buddy may only have less then 5 yrs to live but he is so deserving of a loving home with a family that will never again abandoned him. OUT OF STATE adoptions are possible.
